Chateau Spoiled

So after the flight I emerged from Vancouver airport. Cheryl was there for me, bringing a ski jacket that belongs to Brett. It has been treating me very well :). The local temperature was a balmy -1 oC.

Having said that, Vancouver really put on some perfect weather for me. I really wanted to see some snow while I was here. Well, as if on cue, it was snowing as we left the airport. Cheryls' parents, Glen and Lois, were kindly lettting me stay in their townhouse. Their place in is West Van:

It was quite a welcome. As I entered, the waiter statue was holding out a glass of beer and a sign:

Chateau Spoiled kindly welcomes:

It was pretty terrific really. Throughout the flight I had been concious of the local time at Vancouver. I didn't sleep that much on the plane, but I was fairly well adjusted by bedtime that night. Brett and I sat up and drank all of Glen's Heineken and just caught up. It's a shame it is so long between beers.

ps., I don't have my camera cable with me. Just one of the small things I forgot. But I will go over to Rohan's shortly and download some photos. Lots of snow!!
